Kate Hudson Addresses Past Romance With Nick Jonas

Almost a decade after Kate Hudson and Nick Jonas sparked romance rumors, the Almost Famous actress revealed how she characterizes their relationship.

"A moment," Kate told Andy Cohen on the July 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live. "Lovely, fun, kind. He's like an old man in a young man's body. And we love him."

Nick, 31, and Kate, 45, first sparked romance rumors in September 2015—months after his split from Olivia Culpo—when they were spotted together in Walt Disney World and sharing a meal in Miami.

But amid the speculation, the duo opted to not share insight into the possible relationship, with Kate saying on Watch What Happens Live a month later, "I don't like addressing any kind of gossip."

Similarly, the Jonas Brothers singer explained, when asked about his outings with Kate on 94.7 FM in Maryland, "I keep some things to myself."

Then in 2016, Nick got more candid about the rumors, noting he was "very single." And when it came to his relationship with the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star?

"Kate’s incredible,” he told Complex. “We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful."

He continued, "Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing."

But by 2017, Kate’s mom Goldie Hawn suggested the apparent romance had fizzled out.

"Let me tell you something,” she said after being asked about the romance on Watch What Happens Live, “as long as the kids are having fun, I don't care."

Expressing how Nick is "a very nice guy," Goldie lamented not being able to invite the “Jealous” singer over for dinner during the romance.

"I would have," she admitted, "if it lasted long enough."

They played doomed lovers twice, in 1990's Too Young to Die? and 1993's Kalifornia, but in real life they had a perfectly lovely relationship.

There was something about their chemistry at the 2003 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, where Diaz presented Timberlake with the award for Best Burp—because they dated for almost four years, seriously enough to issue a statement when their relationship ended in 2007, "mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."

The Scandal star appeared on the cover of InStyle Weddings in 2005 when she was engaged to the Big actor, but they split up in 2007.

Madonna never addressed the story that she dated the rapper, who was killed in 1996 when he was only 25, until 2015. When Howard Stern brought up her infamously feisty 1994 chat with David Letterman, she explained, "I was dating Tupac at the time, and the thing is...he got me all riled up on life in general."

After her divorce from Ryan Phillippe and before marrying agent Jim Toth, Reese starred with Jake in the 2007 thriller Rendition and they dated for a couple of years.

"She is, as I would say about most of the women who I'm close friends with or had relationships in my life," Jake said admiringly of his ex, "one of the smartest, strongest people I've ever met."
